A Penny For My Thoughts is a story-telling game in the tradition of The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen, 1001 Nights, and The Court of the Empress, designed to be played in an evening. It uses the conceit of patients undergoing treatment for amnesia and works with techniques borrowed from improv to help you engage your fellow players on a thematic and emotional level.
A Penny For My Thoughts is published by Evil Hat Productions. The book grew out of my entry into the Game Chef 2007 competition. It was originally designed over at Master Mines, and you can read about its development in my posts about it here. More information is available at the Orphic Institute for Advanced Studies website.
